Brad Toussaint
Director & Chief Engineer

Brad Toussaint has worked with Drake University for more than 20 years. As director and chief engineer for DTC, Brad's responsibilities take him all across campus, from overseeing the latest multimedia classroom design to researching the latest trends in technology.

Besides working in the educational environments of Drake, Grandview and Des Moines Area Community College Brad has also held positions at KCBR TV, KGGO & KJJY Radio, Mercy Hospital, City of Ankeny and many local area nightlife establishments.

When Brad is not at Drake you will still find him engaging in all facets of electronics, music, photography and learning with his family. As for what hobbies interest him, they are too numerous to mention.

Tom Brown
A/V Multimedia Specialist

As A/V Multimedia Specialist, Tom Brown is the person you're most likely to see on the campus of Drake University. For the past 7 years, Tom has installed, maintained and trained campus users how to use the multimedia technology DTC provides.

Tom maintains certifications from Toshiba, AMX and ICIA for networks, programming and telecommunications.

In his spare time, he enjoys fishing and cooking.

James McNab
Multimedia Producer

In the past decade, James McNab has worked in every possible aspect of television and multimedia production. He brings this experience to DTC and the numerous university and community clients it serves.

James past experiences include live news, commercial and corporate production and special event planning. He is an Apple Certified Professional on Final Cut Pro.

In addition to spending time with his fiancé, James enjoys jazz music, railfanning and attending drum and bugle corps shows.

Jeff Nichols
DTC/SJMC Engineer

Jeff received his Associates of Applied Science degree from Indian Hills Community College.

As engineer for DTC and SJMC, Jeff oversees the TV studio, editing facilities, the campus radio station (KDRA) and campus cable master control. His responsibilities include maintaining and fixing all equipment in the department, keeping the department up-to-date with technology, and creating or acting on new projects and ideas. In addition, he serves as the systems administrator for the SJMC computer and multimedia labs.

For more than 20 years, Jeff has volunteered with video ministries at various churches around the community. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys model building, camping and amateur radio.

Dan Sloan
Systems Administrator, CBPA

Dan Sloan has served as the Systems Administrator for the College of Business and Public Administration since 2004. His credentials include Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), A+ Certified Service Technician and Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDP).

In his spare time, Dan enjoys woodworking, vocal music, camping, automotive maintenance and working with the Boy Scouts of America. His family lives in a virtual menagerie with 2 dogs, 2 cats, one snake and a partridge-less pear tree.
