Student and Faculty Accomplishments

Crystal Kimama, student of Jessica Anderson, earned the third place prize at the prestigious Terrace Hill Piano competition, a statewide competition for high school seniors. Performing works by Haydn, Chopin, Albeniz, and Tcherepnin, she earned a $2,000 scholarship to an Iowa college or university.

Five students of Jessica Anderson were division winners at District Iowa Music Teachers Association Auditions at Grandview College on December 9, 2017.

Matt Bourland, student of Jessica Anderson, was named winner of the Terrace Hill Piano Competition, a prestigious statewide piano competition for high school seniors. 

He received the First Lady of Iowa Scholarship, a $3,000 award. The competition took place February 13, 2016 at the Iowa Public Television studios in Johnston, Iowa, and the live performances of the three finalists were aired on Iowa Public Television.
