Students seeking to use Real Coaching Courses for recertification or salary advancement should seek prior approval from their school district or appropriate licensing agency.  Scroll down for a list of states from which we cannot currently accept registrations, located at the bottom of this page.

You are strongly encouraged to get prior approval from your school district or the appropriate governing body before enrolling if you want these courses to count towards recertification or salary advancement. Drake University cannot and does not make any representations as to whether a particular school district or governing body will approve a particular course for these purposes.

Tax Information:
In order for Drake University to generate a 1098T (tax document) for you, we need your complete Social Security Number.  To provide this information please complete Part 1 of IRS Form W9-S.  You may mail the form to: Student Accounts Office, Drake University, 2507 University Ave., Des Moines IA 50311-4505.  You may also scan and email it to: stuacct@drake.edu.  For more information visit the Student Accounts 1098T Information Page.

Please recognize that we only generate 1098T forms electronically and only for courses that carry EDMA credit.‌

Important Transcript Information: The official semester designation on your transcript will be the semester in which you register/enroll for a video course.   The official  transcript will list the course and grade in the semester in which you register/enroll for a course, not the semester in which completed course work is submitted.

At this time we cannot accept registrations from the following states: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, Vermont, Washington, Wyoming. 

Expedited Grading

The Drake Distance Learning Center does offer expedited grading. We will grade your materials and report a letter grade to our Registrar within 5 business days after receipt of your course work in our Distance Learning Center. The expedited grading fee is currently $85.00 per course. You must place the Expedited Grading Form on top of your course work so it will be clearly visible.

In an announcement made by Senator Tom Harkin, the U.S. Department of Education Rehabilitation Long-Term Training program awarded Drake University a major grant to increase the number of individuals trained in providing all areas of rehabilitation services to people with disabilities.
