Reading Strategies for At-Risk Students (EDDL 216)

3 Semester Hours of Graduate Credit

Course Overview

How often do teachers stay up late pondering why a student struggles in a particular area, or pacing with frustration because they can’s figure out how to help a student be successful in one or more areas? The teacher who is able to diagnose reading difficulties and implement interventions may sleep more and pace less, especially if that teacher has also learned how to assess student progress to determine if further problems are related to reading or to the subject matter.

This course is also available as a video course, EDEX 229: Teaching Solutions for Struggling Readers.
