Master of Science in Educational Leadership

Program Courses

Thirty-six hours of credit are required for completion: thirty in coursework and six in clinical experience. Courses include practice-based learning assignments and case studies so that theory and practice are integrated throughout the curriculum. The program is web-assisted for optimal communication. It includes a Principal Endorsement, which leads to licensure in the state of Iowa.

Kevin Lam, assistant professor of urban and diversity education at Drake University, has received a 2016 Critics’ Choice book award for his book titled Youth Gangs, Racism, and Schooling: Vietnamese American Youth in a Postcolonial Context.
