Automatic External Defibrillators

An Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) is located at in the Athletics Department. Drake Security is also equipped with a portable AED. Drake Security personnel have advance first aid and CPR training and they have been trained in the used of an AED.  They can be used to help save someone's live in the event of cardiac arrest.  The chance of survival is significantly higher using an AED vs waiting for the paramedics.
