Personal protective equipment (PPE) protects the wearer from external hazards. PPE ranges from simple latex gloves and safety glasses to a full environmental suit with supplied air. The proper PPE must be used when working with dangerous chemicals. This can be determined from the MSDS. If in doubt, ask your supervisor for instructions. It is better to use too much PPE than not enough.
