AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) Accountemps
Deadline: April (Annually)
Award: $2,500 (five available)

Eligibility: Applicant must be an AICPA student affiliate member, a declared accounting, finance or information systems major (this must be indicated on your transcript) with an overall and major GPA of at least 3.0. Applicant must be a student who has satisfactorily completed at least 30 semester hours, or 45 quarter hours, or equivalent college work, including at least six (6) semester hours (or equivalent) in accounting. Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student (or equivalent), at an accredited college or university in the United States.  All applicants must be U.S. citizens. Those persons who are already CPAs are not eligible for this scholarship.

DECA Scholarships
Deadline: February (Annually)
Award: $1,000

Eligibility: The DECA Scholarships are open to currently active DECA and Delta Epsilon Chi students. DECA scholarships are sponsored by various businesses and eligibility may be based on having work experience at the sponsor’s business.

Government Finance Officers Association of the US & Canada
Daniel B. Goldberg Scholarship
Deadline: February 29, 2008
Award:  $10,000

Eligibility: Currently a full-time student in a graduate program that prepares students for careers in state and local government finance and expecting to be enrolled in the spring semester (including spring graduates). Must hold a Baccalaureate degree or its equivalent. Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada. Students who have been a past winner of a scholarship administered by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada are not eligible to apply.

Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship

Award:  $3,500

Eligibility: Must be a full-time student in an undergraduate OR graduate accounting program who is preparing for a career in state and local government finance. Undergraduate students must be in the process of completing at least their junior year by the time the scholarship is awarded. Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada. Student must not have been a past winner of a scholarship administered by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada is not eligible to apply.

Eligibility: Must be employed at least one year by a state, local, government or other public entity and recommended by his or her employer. Must clearly define career goals and objectives. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate OR graduate program in public administration, finance, business administration, or related field before funds are awarded. Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada. Students who have been a past winner of a scholarship administered by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada are not eligible to apply.

Student must not have been a past winner of a scholarship administered by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.

Insurance Scholarship Foundation of America
Deadline: February 15, 2008
Award:  $500-$2,500

Eligibility:
Student must be a candidate for a bachelor's or higher degree with a major or minor in insurance, risk management, or actuarial science. Student must be currently attending a college/university and will be completing or have completed his/her second year. Student must have successfully completed or is currently enrolled in two insurance, risk management, or actuarial science courses (a minimum of three credit-hours each). Student has achieved at least 3.0 overall GPA on a 4.0 scale. Student is not receiving full reimbursement for the expenses of tuition, books, etc., from an outside source.

MRA - the management association

Award: $1,000

Eligibility: Applicants must be undergraduate student, and must be accepted into the Human Resource Management Major or a related subject. Applicant must have an overall grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, and must be a junior or senior level student at a fully accredited college or university in Wisconsin, Illinois or Iowa. Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen and a resident of Illinois, Iowa, or Wisconsin and cannot be relatives of MRA employees or members of its Board of Directors.

Paragon IT Professionals Technology Scholarships
Deadline: March 1, 2008
Award:
$1,000

Eligibility: Student must be a graduating high school senior who will pursue a degree in computer science or related area of study. Student must provide current GPA and tow letters of reference. Student must provide a resume showing activities, job history, education, background, and plan. Student must submit a 250-500 word essay using this theme as a guide: "What motivates and inspires me to pursue a degree in computer science and technology."
