American Business Women’s Association Outright Grant
Award: $1,500
Deadline: February 28, 2013
Eligibility: (1) United States citizens and Iowa residents residing
in Polk, Dallas, or Warren counties; (2) at least a Sophomore in college, completing
a minimum of 60 credit hours by December 31, 2012; (3) attending an accredited
Iowa university authorized to offer baccalaureate degrees or higher; and (4)
achieved a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better on a 4.0
scale.

1. Lois Dell Memorial Scholarship- full-time female student
2. Liselotte Gurau Memorial Scholarship- full-time female student pursuing degree in health related field
3. Helen McEwan Memorial Scholarship- full-time female student pursuing degree in elementary education
4. Olive C. Riddell Memorial Scholarship- female student in any academic field
5. Rose Lorenz Schwartz Memorial Scholarship- male or female student pursuing a degree in music or dance or studying music or dance as a component of a Performing Arts major.
Applicants may only apply for one of the five memorial scholarships, must be a full-time student beyond high school level and currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or technical school. Must be a legal resident of Polk County, or bordering counties: Boone, Dallas, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Story, Warren.

Talbots Women’s Scholarship Fund
Deadline: January (annually)
Award: $10,000 OR $30,000
Eligibility: Must be women currently residing in the United States or Canada. Must be women who have earned a high school diploma or their GED on or before September 2010. Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full or part-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four- year college or university. Must be attending the full 2011-2012 academic year and receiving a degree no earlier than May 2012; and have at least two semesters (24 credit hours or more) remaining to complete and undergraduate degree as of the beginning of the fall 2011 academic term.
