About Friends of Drake Arts
Friends of Drake Arts is a member organization that supports the rich tradition of fine arts programs at Drake and enhances audience experiences.
Through its support, Friends of Drake Arts celebrates this tradition and enhances the audience experience in numerous ways. Audiences can obtain unique and exceptional perspectives through interactive open houses, pre-theater dinners and audience talks, receptions at the Anderson Gallery, special performances and much more.
Drake’s professional performing faculty and fine arts students generously share their gifts with the community. They present more than 100 performances and exhibits throughout the year at little or no cost.
Friends of Drake Arts also sponsors numerous community outreach initiatives, including partnerships with local high schools, retirement communities and Drake neighborhood associations.
Volunteers generously contribute their energy and resources to Friends of Drake Arts. The following members serve on the Steering Committee for 2008-2009:
