Supporting a new generation of fine artists.
Friends of Drake Arts is a member organization in support of Drake University Fine Arts.
CELEBRATING A RICH TRADITION OF FINE ARTS
The cultural riches of the visual and performing arts abound at Drake University. Friends of Drake Arts celebrate this rich tradition by supporting many of the fine arts events at Drake and enhancing the audience experience. An interactive open house, pre-theater dinners and audience talks, receptions at the Anderson Gallery, special performances and other events offer audiences unique and exceptional perspectives.
ILLUMINATING AND ENRICHING OUR COMMUNITY
The faculty and students of Drake University Fine Arts programs generously share their gifts with the community. By presenting more than 100 low cost or no cost performances and exhibits throughout the year, Drake provides an ongoing vital and active art experience available to everyone.
Friends of Drake Arts provides support for additional community outreach initiatives. Whether it is partnerships with local high school programs, outreach to retirement communities or funding of special events for the Drake neighborhood, Friends of Drake Arts expands that art experience to the larger community.
