At its March 2003 meeting, the Faculty Senate tabled a motion for Drake to change from a two-tier to a three-tier health plan (employee, employee plus one, family). The Senate requested more information from Human Resources in regard to this proposal and health benefits more generally.

At the November meeting, Venessa Macro will give the Faculty Senate a presentation on how health benefits are structured at Drake as well as on the principles that guide decisions about benefits. She will also present information on the implications of different changes to the plan.
