5.02 EXECUTIVE
COMMITTEE (Academic Charter)1
The Committee will determine the constituency of all other committees and regulate
the Senate agenda. This Committee will also establish operational procedures for
the orderly conduct of the Senate's business and elections. It shall study and recommend
to the Senate, desired changes or amendments to the Bylaws of the University. The
Committee will also function as a faculty advisory body to the President of the University,
the Provost, and other administrative officers. The Executive Committee shall meet
with the President in its advisory capacity once each month during the academic year
and at additional times at the request of the President of the University or the
Executive Committee. The President of the Senate will serve as Chair of the Executive
Committee and the president-elect serves as Vice-Chair. One Senator from each college
will be elected by members of the Senate to serve on the Executive Committee at the
annual organizational meeting of the Senate.
