5.16 GENERAL EDUCATION COMMITTEE (GEC)
The committee has the primary responsibility for recommending to Faculty Senate any policy changes in the general education curriculum. This body will administer the university-wide undergraduate general education requirements.
The membership with three year staggered terms shall consist of nine faculty appointed by the Faculty Senate Executive committee to two year staggered terms. One representative from each of the four divisions of Arts & Sciences as well as one representative from each of the remaining undergraduate colleges and schools shall be appointed. The Chair is appointed by the Executive Committee.
