5.17 COMMITTEE
ON INFORMATION RESOURCE POLICIES AND ISSUES (IRPI)
The Committee is responsible for recommending academic information resource policy
for the University. The Committee is concerned with, but not necessarily confined
to, library and computer services, as well as the policy issues concerning the development
and use of an appropriate information and technology infrastructure for the University.
The membership of the committee shall consist of three faculty, two administrative
users, one library representative, a dean, two students and one person serving ex-officio
from the computing center.

This representation began December 1998. Faculty are chosen by the Exec Cmte
and serve for three years. The person is eligible for reappointment. The person may
serve on two committees in one year or be replaced for that year.
The President of the Faculty Senate will serve on the Academic Affairs Committee.
