April 2000 Senate Motion 8.A.
Approve changes to the undergraduate
dependent tuition rebate coverage for new and current faculty and staff.
A) Discontinue the one-year waiting period for new employees
B) Change the percentage levels of the dependent undergraduate tuition rebate coverage
to the following levels based on full-time, continuous employment:
- Year 1: 50% tuition rebate coverage
- Year 2-4: Change to 75% tuition
rebate coverage
- Year 5 and over: Change to 100%
tuition rebate coverage
C) Upon implementation of these
changes, current employees who have less than one year employment would receive 50%
of the tuition coverage. Otherwise, all other employees will receive the revised
rebate percentage as reflected in (b) above.
D) Conduct a comprehensive review of the tuition exchange program to ensure comparable
benefits between Drake's rebate and exchange programs.
Once approved, implementation will occur effective the Fall Semester, 2000.
