Timothy O’Neill earned his Ph.D from the University of Washington. He specializes in the cultural and intellectual history of East Asia, with a research focus on traditional China.
His scholarly interests include historiography, gender and sexuality, and language theory. O'Neill is currently working on a book, concerned with the Han dynasty historian Sima Qian. Outside of work he enjoys video games, fiction, film and cooking.
