Recognition

Recognition is an ongoing activity at Drake University.It begins by welcoming the person to campus and continues through their tenure by recognizing them for their achievements and longevity.

Recognize Current Staff and Faculty for their Service:

Each spring, staff and faculty are recognized for their service to Drake University. A reception is held to honor them and show our appreciation to their dedication to Drake. 

Excellence in Learning and Development Recipients

For those staff members who successfully complete the Excellence in Learning and Development Program, each spring they are recognized at a celebration. At this celebration, they receive a certificate and gift commending them on their dedication to excellence.

Shine S.P.O.T.light on Colleagues:

Each month, the All Staff Council seeks nominations for the S.P.O.T.light Award.This award recognizes employees who have excelled in the areas of excellence, creativity, learning, community involvement, integrity, and fiscal responsibility. 

Any member of the Drake community may nominate a staff person through completing the nomination form and returning it to Human Resources. For additional information on the S.P.O.T.light Award, as well as recipients of the Award, visit the All Staff Council web site.

Employee Excellence and Community Service:

Annually, staff and faculty members are nominated, by the Drake community, for the Madelyn M. Levitt Employee Excellence Award and  Madelyn M. Levitt Distinguished Community Service Award.  Recipients of each award are announced at Convocation.
