Publication Subvention

Faculty may apply for subvention grants of up to $1,500. These grants will contribute solely to lowering the purchase price of a book or other publication.

Applicants should provide a letter of request; a synopsis of the project; a publication contract from a reputable academic or university press; or academic imprint of a commercial/trade press; along with evidence of peer review. The Board will not consider requests when securing a subvention is a condition of publication.

Applicants should submit materials electronically to humanities.center@drake.edu. Please allow up to six weeks for deliberation during the academic year.
