Director of the "Jane Evans Language Center"

Clayton Mitchell

Clayton Mitchell is a communications and Language Technology specialist.

Where am I from? Born in California, raised in Alaska, lived all over the west coast -- now I’m in the Midwest. Go Dogs! I am a student of culture (which gives me insight into my job).  The way I interact with cultures is through food. I literally consume culture. I feel that one of the best ways to get to know a culture, and by extension the people of that culture, is to learn about the cuisine.  If you learn to enjoy a cuisine as if you are native to that culture, you will have insights into how people live.

I support the students in DULAP in their language learning and run the Language Resource Center. I also support all of the language coordinators with the languages they are responsible for. I make sure all the technology we use at DULAP is as seamless to the students and staff as possible.  I also instruct students on how to use technology effectively.
