Intensive English Start Dates and Sample Course Schedule

The Intensive English Program is conducted in six sessions over three semesters.  During Fall and Spring semesters, there are two eight week sessions over a sixteen week semester.  During the Summer semester, there are two five week sessions as well as a four week Summer Institute of Language and Culture.  Short term language learners can enroll for as few as four weeks during the Fall and Spring semesters.  

Four core language skill courses are offered every semester to include Listening and Speaking, Grammar, Reading and Writing as well as a TOEFL Preparation course.  Additional multi-skills courses are also offered but can change from semester to semester.  Descriptions of courses can be found on the Intermediate and Advanced course pages.  

Start dates for semesters are August, January and June.  Start dates for sessions are August, October, January, March, June and July.  All F1 students must complete 26 weeks prior to a vacation period.  Contact the Intensive English Program director for specific dates.
