About International Business

Welcome to Drake International Business!

We are very excited about our international business program here at Drake. Educated at some of the world's best international business schools, the IBUS faculty have collectively spent time in over 80 countries, speak half a dozen languages, and bring to the classroom work experience spanning from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. As a result, our program is as robust as those offered by any other world-class institution, and we believe our students can successfully compete with graduates from any program in the world!

As an International Business student at Drake, you have so many opportunities to engage both inside and outside the classroom. In the classroom, you will be challenged and encouraged to develop a transnational mindset. Our curriculum will not only teach you the fundamentals of global business, but also ensure you leave Drake with a solid knowledge of world culture, history and society that is crucial to commercial success today. Outside of the classroom, you will have many opportunities to study abroad, work with the Center for Global Citizenship, impact your local community, or engage in collaborative research with faculty and other students. Our students are working for global corporations in Iowa, studying in Spain, doing internships in Shanghai, building a health clinic in Uganda, and working on multiple research projects exploring the role of business across different societies.

As you can tell, we are very excited about the future of our International Business program. We would like to invite you become part of our tradition of success!
