- 23% annual growth in DrakeIBiz majors over the last 3 years.
- 28% annual growth in study abroad among Zimpleman College of Business students.
- Drake International Management students working with Iowa-based organizations such as Greater Des Moines Partnership, and Principal Financial Group on internationalization issues.
- Professor Kappen receiving honors for best international dissertation research at the Academy of Management and being named Program Chair of the largest national Academy of International Business chapter.
- Signing an agreement with Universidad de los Andes earlier this year and visiting Chile with Dean Terri Vaughan to expand internship and study abroad opportunities.

The Drake University men's soccer team played the eight games in Guadalajara, Mexico, where a partnership with the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, better known as Monterrey Tec, enabled the Drake men's and women's soccer teams to experience the best of both worlds: studying abroad and participating in international competition.
