Applying To Come To Drake on Exchange

An application to study at Drake as an exchange student has several parts:

• a completed, signed application form
• a transcript of courses completed and grades earned
• a list of courses currently in progress
• an essay explaining why a semester or year at Drake is important to you
• English language proficiency test scores (or a desire to study English as a Second Language)
• Proof of Finances to cover estimated costs of the exchange
• a "wish list" of courses to be studied at Drake
• Law students ONLY, must also submit a Law School Honor Code form.

The first four items in this list must be sent by April 1 (for fall arrival) or Oct. 1 (for spring arrival) to:

The final four items for an application should also be sent to Carlyn Marron, either with the application form or as soon as possible thereafter.  A DS-2019 document, which is required to get a J-1 student visa, cannot be issued until a Proof of Finances form has been received.
