Purchasing Software For Use on University Owned Computers
(must use a Drake purchasing card or purchase order)
Purchasing with a University Purchasing Card
- Access http://www.uscollegebuy.com/.
- Click on Adobe/Macromedia at the top of the web page.
- On the subsequent page, indicate if you are shopping for the University or shopping for yourself.
- On the next page, select "Iowa" from the pull-down menu.
- Select "Drake University" from the list.
- Under CLP 4.0 Software Licenses, click on one the software products you want to purchase. In most cases you will want to order a standard "license," not a concurrent or a concurrent uplift license. If you are unsure, please consult with Jim O'Brien to confirm what to order.
- Click in one of the "check boxes" on the far right-hand side of the web page to add an item to the shopping cart. Then click on "Add to Cart." A summary of your order will appear. To add other products to the cart, click on the "CLP Products" link on the left and repeat steps 6 & 7.
- When your order is complete, click on "Create/Edit Order."
- You will be asked to log on. Contact Jim O'Brien (x3214) if you need username/password information.
- Follow the instructions on subsequent web pages to provide payment and shipping directions.
Purchasing with a purchase order
- Access http://www.uscollegebuy.com/.
- Click on Adobe/Macromedia.
- On the subsequent web page, you must indicate if you are shopping for the University or shopping for yourself. Click on the link that indicates "you are purchasing products that will be owned and for use by a college, university, or an educational institution."
- On the next page, select "Iowa" from the pull-down menu.
- On the subsequent page, select "Drake University" from the list.
- Under CLP 4.0 Software Licenses, select the software you want to purchase. In most cases you will want to order a standard "license," not a concurrent or a concurrent uplift license. If you are unsure, please consult with Jim O'Brien to confirm what to order.
- Click in one of the "check boxes" to add an item to the shopping cart. Then click on "Add to Cart." A summary of your order will appear. To add other products to the cart, click on the "CLP Products" link on the left and repeat steps 6 & 7.
- When your order is complete, click on "Create/Edit Quotation."
- Follow the directions on the subsequent page to give the quote an identity and provide directions for shipping. If helpful, you can also save the quote at this time. When you are done entering data and/or saving, click on "Continue."
- Print the quote. Provide a copy to the person in charge of purchasing for your department. The quote should be attached to a corresponding purchase order and submitted in the usual fashion.
