Consider a personal laser printer. A laser printer will not print in color, but the toner will last much longer than a typical inkjet cartridge. Laser printers are usually available for around $130 to $160. The Cowles Library offers color printing to students for a nominal fee.

Flash drive: aka. Thumb drive, Jump drive. These small drives have replaced floppy disks and extremely useful for copying files from one computer to another.

iPod:
These are a favorite device for playing music. The iTunes software that accompanies it provides an affordable means of purchasing music that is compliant with copyright laws.
