My Students have Office 2007 and I don't - what to do
Recommended for ALL faculty.
This session will provide details of how to handle student work that may be submitted using Office 2007. While students may have Office 2007, faculty computers have not been updated, so there may be an issue with reading your students' work. Come and find out what to do to minimize the problems associated with incompatible formats.

Blackboard Wikis—How To
Recommended for all faculty who are using Blackboard, and are interested in adding a Wiki to their course.
This workshop will focus on how to add a Wiki to your Blackboard course and explore the types of learning projects and outcomes possible with its use.

Blackboard Blogs—How To
Recommended for all faculty who are using Blackboard, and are interested in adding a Blog to their course.

Automated Response System, A.K.A. Clickers—What is it and Why Should I Use It?
Recommended for all faculty who wish to use an ARS system and integrate it into their Blackboard courses.
This workshop will demonstrate the capabilities of using an ARS (clickers) in a course. Topics covered: what the potential for use is, how to use it, how to incorporate it into a Blackboard course, how to get the data.

Blackboard Basics
Recommended for faculty who are new to Blackboard, have never used it, or may not even know what it is about.
This workshop will focus on the basics of using Blackboard. The features of Blackboard will be demonstrated and initial course structure will be discussed. This will include a basic demonstration of the Blackboard software as well as a brief introductory hands-on component.

Advanced Blackboard
Recommended for faculty who are currently using Blackboard, but would like more experience with the functionality of the assessment and groups areas.
This workshop will focus on using some more advanced pieces of Blackboard.
Topics covered in this workshop include: test construction, test options, & test deployment (Test Manager), Pool Manager, Survey Manager, synchronous discussion tools (Virtual Classroom, Lightweight Chat) & Groups.

Blackboard Refresher
Recommended for faculty who are currently using Blackboard, but would like more experience with the latest features.
This workshop will go beyond the basics and participants should be prepared to work with their own course materials. We will take a look at the advanced use of Blackboard and allow time for participants to work within their Blackboard course site(s).

Principles of Online Design
Recommended for faculty who are using Blackboard and would like to take their course to a different level.
How can you tell if your course demonstrates "good course design?" This workshop will discuss and demonstrate the elements that create "good course design." Also included: how to utilize more interactive methods of teaching.
