Operating System Updates: Windows XP SP2

Following are the procedures for configuring Automatic Updates for service packs and security patches in Windows XP with Service Pack 2.

1) From the Start menu choose Control Panel.
2) Double click on the Automatic Updates icon. 



3) In the Automatic Updates window select Automatic (recommended)
4) Set the schedule: every day at a time the computer is on, but not normally in use.
