Operating System Updates - Macintosh OS X

Following are the procedures for configuring Software Updates on the Mac OS X platform.

1) Click  the   icon in the upper left corner and click System Preferences.
2) In the System Preferences window double-click on Software Update. 

3) Choose the Update Software tab.
4) Select Automatically check for updates when you have a network connection. 
5) Choose Daily.

Optional: To immediately check for software updates available for your system you can also click on the Check Now button.
