My name is Lisa Hunt. I am a 20-year-old Sagittarius. I enjoy long walks on the beach (there aren't many in Iowa), horseback riding, tennis, working out and being outside just to relax or to explore. I love to sing and listen to any kind of music. I also love theatre and was a thespian all four years of high school.
I am an only child (yes, I'm spoiled, no, I'm not a spoiled brat). My Mom and Dad both work and I have a little black poodle that is often my companion on walks in the summer (I'd rather have a tall, dark and handsome man).
I'm fortunate enough to have a close group of girl friends that I have known for six years. One of them, Hannah (front, right), I have known for 14 years. This is us at Christmas last year.
Emily (back, right) is the one of us who went out of state for college. She is at Hollins University in Roanoke, VA, where she has found a wonderful folk singer named Julie Goldman. Emily has created a website for her. If you'd like to get there, click here.
Angela (back, left) and Katie (back, center) have gone to two separate state universities. Angela is at the University of Iowa in Iowa City and Katie is at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.
Someday all of us will get together in the summer to hit the open road. We plan on traveling as close as possible to the original Route 66. If you'd like to learn more about Route 66 and see some pictures of "The Mother Road" check out Martin Mathis' Route 66 Photo Gallery and Essay. I'd also suggest Route 66 - The Mother Road by Michael Wallis. So look for us along the way, we'll be the five women with our hair down and the music up in an old camper. Feel free to honk or wave as we pass by.
This good looking man next to me is Ben. He has been a really great friend of mine for the past six years. Currently he is stationed at Ft. Bragg, N.C., and will be finished with his time in the Army August, 2000.
On a little more serious side, I am a public relations major in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Drake University in Des Moines, IA. I'm secretary of the Drake chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America.
I currently work at Drake University in two capacities, I am a news assistant in the Office of Marketing and Communications, and also a resident assistant in Crawford residence hall. I have learned a lot about life and leadership from both of them and have also met a lot of great people. These are just a few.
Me, Mehul, Holly and Kiplin These are three of my closest friends on campus. Strangely enough, within two short years we have been through a lot, had a lot of fun and have become very good friends.
If you have comments on my webpage or would just like to e-mail me to say hello I would greatly appreciate it. You may e-mail me at school lmh009@drake.edu or at home drakechyk@hotmail.com
