Polly Flug graduated from the Drake School of Journalism and Mass Communication with a degree in public relations in 1994 and is now public relations coordinator for FBL Financial Group, Inc. She has taught collateral materials, an upper-level public relations course since 1999 in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Before going into public relations, she was a reporter on the features staff at the Des Moines Register. She is past president of Friends of Drake Arts, and she is active in her church. She says, "Getting my Drake degree changed my life because it opened opportunities to me that hadn't existed before. It's the best thing I ever did for myself."
