The Kelley Continuing Education Programs at Drake serve as a leading resource for the state’s 22,000 licensed insurance agents. In the ever-changing world of insurance, you’ll find courses and events that address current issues and ongoing regulation changes.
We offer high-quality programs for professional development and continuing education that cover a broad range of needs. Those programs cover three major areas: courses for professional development and designations; tailored programs for insurance companies and agencies for presentation in-house; and continuing education programs for Iowa licensed insurance producers.
We also conduct special programs and events such as the Archie R. Boe Distinguished Lecture Series and host the Iowa Insurance Hall of Fame.
The Kelley Continuing Education Programs, part of the College of Business and Public Administration, and the insurance industry have enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship since 1973. The long running programs’ mission to provide quality continuing education to members of the insurance industry has remained the same throughout the decades. Today, the Kelley Continuing Education Programs are named to honor the late Robb Kelley and his wife, Winifred, and Employers Mutual Casualty (EMC) Insurance Companies of Des Moines in recognition of their support for Drake University.
