Continuing Education Opportunities

Ethics Day
The Kelley Continuing Education Programs co-sponsor this annual event, which brings in experts from across the nation to discuss current ethics issues in the insurance industry.

Archie R. Boe Lecture
In 1989, the Allstate Foundation established the endowed Archie R. Boe Lecture Series to bring professional leaders to Drake to speak on insurance and related topics. The late Archie Boe, BN’41, Hon.Doc.Law’76, served as president and CEO of Allstate Insurance Company and president of Sears, Roebuck and Co., and was a member of the Drake University Board of Trustees. Licensed insurance agents can receive Continuing Education (CE) credit for these programs.

Continuing Education Series
Drake offers a variety of continuing education programming throughout the year, for which licensed insurance agents can earn CE credit. Events include a number of series that cover a variety of insurance topics: Cabin Fever, March into Spring, Sizzling Summer, Fall Breakfast, and the Last Chance.

Designation Programs
Drake also leads classes for those seeking the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or various Insurance Institute of America (IIA) designations. Classes are offered both on and off campus.
