Drake Law School and Drake’s College of Business and Public Administration offer an MJ in Compliance and Risk Management that responds to the growing need for employees to ensure that their companies are meeting government regulations and adhering to ethical standards.
Employers in highly regulated fields such as financial services, insurance, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, agribusiness, and utilities increasingly need people who can do the following:

With a combination of law and business courses as well as electives, Drake’s 24-credit MJ in Compliance and Risk Management program will equip students for careers in a variety of industries.
The program is designed for individuals who have received a bachelor’s degree, but have not earned a JD or its foreign equivalent. Required courses are scheduled to accommodate working professionals with some online components.

Note: Those who have completed the Professional Certificate in Compliance and Risk Management and are accepted into the MJ in Compliance and Risk Management may use their earned 12 credits toward the MJ program.
Students will use their remaining 5–6 credits on their choice of elective courses offered through Drake Law School or the College of Business and Public Administration. Elective courses are available in the areas of health law, business law, agricultural and environmental law, and more.

Drake Law School offers various intensives throughout the year that can be combined with optional classroom work to qualify for one-half credit toward the Compliance and Risk Management Master of Jurisprudence (MJ) degree.
Attendees can receive 1 credit toward the MJ in Compliance and Risk Management for each two intensives they attend if they complete the academic requirements.
