Admitted students can use this page to find information about health insurance, meals, and parking during law school.

Health Insurance

Domestic Students
Health insurance options that domestic students may be eligible for are: public state or federal exchange plans, individual insurance plans, high risk pool plans, a parent's plan if under the age of 26, or a catastrophic plan for those between the ages of 26 to 30.

International Students
International students will automatically be enrolled in the student health insurance plan at a rate of $1,308. This premium will automatically be charged to your student account.

Meal Plans

Students wishing to purchase a meal plan may do so by contacting Drake Dining Services at 515-271-3175 or visiting the website.

Parking Permits

Parking in campus lots during the summer will require vehicle registration and a permit. Students wishing to park in campus lots during the summer/fall/spring semesters will be required to purchase a parking permit from the Student Accounts Office in Old Main.

A parking lot is conveniently located south of Forest Avenue between 24th and 25th Streets.

Note: Parking permits are not required for the week of orientation.
