SLAP – Concentration in Leadership Education and Development (LEAD)

Student Leadership Advisory Panel (SLAP) is an official student-run organization at Drake co-established by Professor Thomas Westbrook and Senior Jason Miller in January 2012. The purpose of SLAP is to empower leaders today, and prepare leaders for tomorrow. We develop and promote leadership in and around the Drake community. In addition, we shape and expand the Leadership Education and Development Concentration at Drake University. Currently the organization is working on expanding awareness to all students about the LEAD concentration for the Spring 2013 semester. We are currently working on our 2nd annual Corporate Leadership & Interpersonal Skills training session hosted by Tero International. Our biggest goal is to help any student organization with sponsoring events around campus. Our organization is open to all students looking to become a leader at Drake!
