As a student-athlete at Drake, you’ll not only play for competitive Division I teams, you’ll find the experience complements what you’re learning in the classroom and provides myriad opportunities to develop leadership and professional skills.
Drake athletics prides itself on helping you become a leader on the field of play and throughout your life.
Recent examples include Drake student-athletes who have coordinated and led middle-school sports clinics, delivered meals to the homeless, and developed educational programming used in local elementary schools. They’ve also taken this leadership ethic around the world—not only playing in the first-ever game of collegiate football on the African continent, but also leading service projects at orphanages in Tanzania and climbing to the Summit of Mount Kilimanjaro with an all-star team from Mexico.
You’ll compete at Drake. But you’ll also do so much more.
