Thursday, August 18 - Saturday, August 20 - Group dynamics and campus resources

These intense and fun days are designed to facilitate your successful transition to Drake with a focus on group interaction, leadership development, and campus realities inside and outside the classroom. Also included is a very important meeting with faculty and academic administrators in each college or school. ALL new students are expected to participate in ALL activities.

10:15 – 11:15 a.m. Community Welcome Activity
11:30 – 1:15 p.m. College/School Reality and Strategy Meeting (Including lunch with faculty and academic administrative staff)

4:00 – 6:30 p.m. Break and Dinner – Hubbell Dining Hall
7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Changes, Challenges and Choices
9:00 – 11:00 p.m. On-campus evening activities

Sunday, August 21 - Day free to complete personal tasks

  • If you are interested in Drake choirs, marching band, theatre, or other specific
    groups, please refer to the Special Interest Information flyer as
    posted at http://www.drake.edu/life/welcome/special.php.
  • The University Book Store will be open from 12:00 Noon to 7:00 p.m. for students to purchase books and supplies.
