LPS Paper Awards

Congratulations to Olivia O'Hea and Beth Macnab, for winning the 2016 LPS Best Paper Awards!

Olivia’s paper, which won the Best Paper Award, Upper Division, was written for the LPS Senior Seminar. "The School Prison Pipeline" offers a cogent analysis of three case studies examining the nature of discipline in public education.

Beths’s paper, which was awarded the Lower Division Paper Award, "A Judge's role in Justice" offers her observations of court proceedings in the Polk County Courthouse and provides critical reflection on the role of judges in promoting understanding and serving ideals of justice.
