Two Drake students, awarded a $66,700 grant from the Nebraska Environmental Trust, will work to rehabilitate an ecosystem as part of the Winnebago Prairie Restoration Project.

Alumnus Bruce Zager and Adjunct Professor of Law Edward Mansfield were named to the state’s highest court, strengthening the long-standing relationship between Drake Law School and the Iowa Supreme Court.

The actuarial science program in Drake’s College of Business and Public Administration continues to grow and prepare students for professional success.

Drake’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences will present it’s highest honor to Jack Ellis, a 1957 graduate and retired director of Abbott Laboratories, at a ceremony on April 27.

“An Evening with Twyla Tharp” should appeal to anyone interested in learning from a master of her craft. Tharp’s lecture will translate lessons from her more than 45 years of creativity and collaboration in the world of dance to a broader scope of experience.

The grants, part of Prairie Meadows’s 2010 Community Betterment Program, will benefit Drake’s Adult Literacy Center and Office of Marketing and Communications Department.
