Drake Environmental Action League

DEAL focuses on environmental education and have about 1 or 2 events a month. Those events usually consist of a street cleanup, a campus tree walk or a networking event. There is a meeting every week where a member volunteers to do a 5 to 7 minute education piece. DEAL strives to educate on environmental choices and motive environmental action to take place on campus! For more information contact Student leaders Elly Fleming and Ella Fields at elly.flemming@drake.edu and ella.fields@drake.edu

“My favorite part of DEAL is the conversation. I think this helps student's stay engaged in a unique way but also continuously offers new opportunities. Also, the people are great! They are all super passionate about the environment but because this club is just for fun, they are also really easy going and pleasant to talk to.” -Student Leader Elly Fleming

Drake Non-Profit Consulting Club

"The Drake Non-Profit Consulting Group is comprised of Drake University students with a passion for giving back to the community. Combining academic learnings and real-world business experience, we voluntarily advise non-profits on key decisions that shape the impact they have on the community. The organization also provides students opportunities to gain vital hands-on skills that are needed in the professional world, along with managerial leadership experience.

“My favorite part about Drake Non-Profit is constantly having the opportunity to learn something new! I helped redo an entire website for a local non-profit which is something I would have never had the opportunity to do if it wasn't for this group.” – President Kara Berk
