Master of Financial Management

‌‌The Drake Master of Financial Management (M.F.M.) offers a combination of specialized financial knowledge and broad-based business acumen, which is not available through any other program in the state.  Drake's M.F.M. is well-suited for professionals in the financial markets, insurance, banking, and investment areas, as well as those in a more general business environment.  Students also have the option to pursue coursework that parallels the Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) examination.



Candidates are invited to apply to our fall, spring or summer semesters.  Questions regarding the application process can be forwarded to our Outreach Coordinator at or (515) 271-2188.

Completed applications are due by the following dates:

  • December 1 for classes starting in spring (January)
  • April 1 for classes starting in summer (May/June)
  • July 15 for classes starting in fall (August)

Information Session

Learn more about the Drake Master of Financial Management program by attending an information session. Graduate staff will be on hand to answer any questions and help you learn more about Drake's graduate degrees.

Drake University’s Principal Financial Group Center for Global Citizenship (PFGCGC) will host a discussion on the Keystone XL Pipeline initiative in collaboration with the Iowa Energy Forum. General James Jones, a former national security advisor, will discuss the benefits of the pipeline initiative.
