All-State Preparation Clinic

September 19, 2013

Drake will host woodwind, brass, and percussion players this year for Instrumental All-State audition preparation.

Music department faculty will assist students in performing scales, prepared music, and solos for the audition. Students should come prepared to perform the material to enhance the coaching of tone, technique, and musicality.

This event is free for all high school students who attend.

Schedule:

  • 6:30 p.m. Final Registration and Check-in
    Lobby of Harmon Fine Arts Center
  • 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Clinics with music faculty

The Environmental Education Summer Workshop for Teachers—co-sponsored by Drake University, MetroWaste Authority, and Prairie City-Monroe (PCM) School District—is designed to expose educators to a wide range of experiences connecting the natural history of Iowa’s plants and animals to problem-based learning exercises that address both science and math standards.
