Jazz Two

Jazz Ensemble Two, under the direction of Dr. James Romain, is dedicated to the performance of the historically significant repertoire of the past (Basie, Ellington, Thad Jones), while also exposing students to recent compositions and arrangements. Composed of students from throughout the Drake University community, this ensemble is open to all Drake students through audition. The band presents three on-campus performances per year, as well as several off-campus opportunities, and is designed to assist students with the continued development of their jazz musicianship and ensemble skills.

Jazz Ensemble Two meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 to 3:20 p.m. in the Turner Jazz Center in the Fall semester; and Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12:00 to 12:50 p.m. in the Turner Jazz Center in the Spring semester.
