A native of Peoria, Illinois, Dana Sloter received a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance at Drake University in Des Moines, IA in 2013. She received a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance at Arizona State University (ASU) in 2015. Sloter was a semi-finalist in the International Clarinet Association’s 2014 Young Artist Competition and a finalist in the 2014 ASU Concert of Soloists competition. She is also a music director and pit musician, having played for productions in theaters in the Peoria, Des Moines, and Phoenix areas as both a keyboardist and woodwind doubler. She is a member of the Prairie Wind Ensemble and a proud alumna of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity. She currently serves as Teaching Artist of Clarinet at Drake University. Her teachers include Clarence Padilla, Robert Spring, and Joshua Gardner.
