Conductor Stefano Vignati began his professional career in 1990, conducting Concerts in Italian Opera houses and enlarging his area of experience outside Italy.
His operatic repertoire includes performances of more than 30 Operas titles including Carmina Burana and Verdi’s Requiem. M° Vignati has conducted many prestigious Orchestras in United States, China, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Germany, Slovenija and Italy collaborating with world famous Artists as: Mariella Devia, Lina Wertmuller, Janet Perry, Alexander Malta, Michele Campanella, Pierre Amoyal, Alfonso Antoniozzi, Mirco Palazzi, Svetla Vassileva, Marco Vinco, Nicola Ulivieri, Ramin Bahrami and Bruno Praticò.
For RAI, the Italian national TV broadcasting, he conducted a Symphonic Concert for “I Concerti di Rai Tre” (1996) and two production of Le Nozze di Figaro and Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Prima della Prima 2007, 2008) M° Vignati recorded several CDs in 1997 including the operatic works of Verdi produced by De Agostini di Novara, Handel’s Julius Caesar, and Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater.
He has been guest conductor at UNM Orchestra (Pope Joy Hall, Albuquerque, NM) from 1997 to 2003 and since 2014 at the Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra in China, where he will conduct a Symphonic Concert next March (Wuhan, QinTai Concert Hall). In the April 2016 he conducted the production of Le Nozze di Figaro at Drake University, where he is currently Adjunct Professor/ Voice and Opera coach.
In January 2011 M° Vignati has been nominated Artistic and Music Director of one of the most important European Festival, the Festival Barocco di Viterbo (43rd edition). He is also Music and Artistic Director of the Tuscia Opera Festival in Italy and the Italian American Opera Foundation in the United States.
Stefano Vignati was born in Rome (Italy), where he studied Piano and Composition, Music History and Musical Analysis at the University “La Sapienza” in Rome.
M° Vignati has studied Conducting and participated in International Masterclasses with H. Baumann, A. Joo, N. Hansalik Samale, and V. Delman.
He also earned the Artist Diploma in Conducting at the University of Denver under the guidance of Lawrence Golan.
