Drake to host lecture by U.S. defense policy expert11/06/2009 Bernard I. Finel, senior fellow at the American Security Project, will give a talk at Drake about his research on counter-terrorism at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9.The free, public lecture is sponsored by Drake’s Center for Global Citizenship and the National Security Network. It will be held in Bulldog Theater in lower Olmsted Center, 2875 University Ave. Finel is the lead author of the American Security Project's annual report, "Are We Winning? Measuring Progress in the Struggle against Violent Jihadism." He previously served as professor of military strategy and operations at the U.S. National War College from 2004-2006. He also has directed the security studies program and Center for Peace and Security Studies at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
