Faculty/Staff News

William S. E. Coleman, professor emeritus of theatre arts, had two short plays performed in Chicago. The first "Smith," was adapted from a longer play and was performed on May 31 by Darknight Productions at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His one-act play "Twilight Time" was presented by the Lincoln Square Theatre on a bill of plays titled "Night Caps 2" from June 4 to June 15. While Coleman and his wife, Linda, were in Chicago to see "Twilight Time," more than 50 Drake Theatre alumni held a lunch in their honor.

Approximately 50 staff members recently completed the Excellence in Learning and Development Certificate Program and were recognized last week for their accomplishment. "Each of today’s recipients should be commended for continuing to row upstream and advance their learning and professional growth," said Director of Human Resources Vanessa Macro at the recognition ceremony. A full list of certificate recipients is available online.
