DRAKE WIND SYMPHONY TO PERFORM
CONCERT IN THE PARK: SOUSA STYLE MAY 1

To raise money for a concert tour of Scandinavia in 2002, the Drake University Wind Symphony will perform its second Concert in the Park: Sousa Style at 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, in the Hall of Performing Arts, Harmon Fine Arts Center, 25th Street and Carpenter Avenue. Tickets, available at the door, are $20 for adults, $10 for students.

The program will feature "Bugler's Holiday" by Leroy Anderson as well as works by Leonard Bernstein and Vincent Persichetti.

The Wind Symphony, conducted by professor Robert Meunier, recently recorded its first CD: "Angels and Demons," which will be released in September.
