DRAKE BUSINESS LINK OFFERS FREE WORKSHOP ON E-BUSINESS

The Drake University Business Link will conduct a free workshop for managers Friday, April 19, on "E-Business or How to Use the Web As An Effective Marketing and Training Tool in your Organization."The workshop will start at 8 a.m. in Parents Hall in Olmsted Center, 29th Street and University Avenue.

The keynote speaker will be Edward Moldt, president and chairman of The Moldt Group Inc. He will discuss how successful marketing depends on highly effective communications between the seller and the buyer, and how each customer will respond differently to communications.

The workshop also will include talks by professionals in the field of marketing. Bruce Klemz, professor of marketing at Winona State University, will discuss website effectiveness; Dale W. Engelken, president of Genesis Marketing and Research Inc., will talk about e-mail and web surveys; Timothy L. Johnson of Midwest Project Partners will discuss project management; and Paul Schneider, director of research and development at GeoLearning, will give a speech on e-learning. The workshop will conclude with a talk by Mike Wagner of Spindustry Systems on how to compete in today’s Internet marketplace.
